Skincare, Haircare & Shopping FAQs

Quick answers about orders, products, payments, delivery, returns and your EveHub experience.

✦✧✦
1. Are EVE HUB products authentic, and where do you source them from?+

Yes. Product authenticity is one of EVE HUB's highest priorities.

Depending on the brand and product, we source through trusted channels including:

  • Authorized suppliers and distributors.
  • Direct import by EVE HUB.
  • Direct purchasing from brand owners or their official companies and authorized channels.

Our verification process does not stop at the source.

Every product entering EVE HUB is inspected as soon as it arrives, including its packaging, identification details and overall condition.

If anything raises a genuine concern regarding authenticity, condition or conformity, we reject the product immediately and it is not offered for sale.

For us, authenticity is not just a marketing statement. It is part of the product-selection process before an item reaches our customers.

2. How can I check whether a skincare or Korean beauty product is authentic? Is a barcode or Batch Code enough?+

No. A barcode alone cannot prove that a product is authentic or counterfeit.

Authentication should consider several factors together, including:

  • Product source.
  • Barcode.
  • Batch / Lot Number.
  • Packaging and print quality.
  • Seals and security features where applicable.
  • Distribution market.
  • Packaging version.
  • Supplier information.
  • Consistency with known genuine versions of the product.

Thousands of genuine units may carry the same barcode, so a barcode-scanning app alone cannot verify authenticity.

If you ever have a concern about a product purchased from EVE HUB, keep the product and packaging and contact us with clear photos of the barcode, Batch Number and packaging details.

3. Why can the packaging, label or printed details look different from photos online?+

Packaging differences do not automatically mean that a product is not authentic.

Beauty brands regularly update or change:

  • Packaging design.
  • Fonts and colors.
  • Barcode placement.
  • Caps and pumps.
  • Labels.
  • Language.
  • Outer cartons.
  • Printing layouts.
  • Product-information placement.

Even the position, format or printing style of the production or expiry date may change between batches, depending on the factory, production line or manufacturing source responsible for that specific batch.

This is completely normal for many beauty products.

Older and newer genuine packaging versions may also exist in the market at the same time.

Authenticity should therefore be assessed from the full set of product details rather than one visual difference.

4. Does a discount mean the product is close to expiry?+

No. A discount does not automatically mean a product is close to expiry.

Discounts may be related to:

  • EVE HUB promotions.
  • Supplier or brand campaigns.
  • Seasonal offers.
  • Bundles.
  • Limited-time campaigns.

If a specific product requires additional information to be disclosed to the customer, that information should be clearly communicated.

5. How does EVE HUB choose which products to sell?+

A product is not added simply because it is popular or trending.

We consider factors such as:

  • What the product actually does.
  • Where it fits in a routine.
  • Which Concern it can support.
  • Suitable skin or hair types.
  • Ingredients.
  • How it should be used.
  • Value for money.
  • Whether better alternatives exist.
  • Whether the product adds a meaningful role to a routine.

Our goal is to help you understand what a product does, who it may suit and where it belongs in your routine, rather than showing you only a product image and price.

6. Are Korean, imported or local beauty products better?+

There is no single category that is best for everyone.

Local products can offer excellent value, imported and European Dermocosmetic brands offer many strong options, and K-Beauty is known for its wide variety of textures, hydration-focused products, Barrier Care and innovative formulas.

The best product is the one that suits:

Your skin + your Concern + your routine + your budget.

That is why EVE HUB brings Local, Imported and Korean beauty together in one place.

7. How do I know my skin type?+

EVE HUB uses four main skin types:

Oily: noticeable oil production and shine across much of the face.

Dry: tends to feel tight, rough or dry and usually needs more barrier and moisture support.

Combination: commonly oilier around the T-zone while other areas are Normal or Dry.

Normal: relatively balanced without persistent excess oil or dryness.

Sensitive is not a fifth skin type.

You can have:

  • Oily + Sensitive skin.
  • Dry + Sensitive skin.
  • Combination + Sensitive skin.
  • Normal + Sensitive skin.

We therefore separate Skin Type from sensitivity.

8. Can my skin be oily and sensitive, or oily and dehydrated at the same time?+

Yes.

Skin type and current skin condition are not the same thing.

Naturally Oily Skin can become dehydrated or irritated due to:

  • Harsh cleansing.
  • Over-exfoliation.
  • Too many Actives.
  • Insufficient hydration.

Feeling tight does not automatically mean your skin type is Dry.

9. What is the difference between Dry Skin and Dehydrated Skin?+

Dry Skin is a skin type that naturally tends to produce less oil.

Dehydrated Skin is a temporary condition caused by insufficient water in the skin and can happen even to Oily Skin.

Possible signs include:

  • Tightness.
  • Dullness.
  • Fine dehydration lines.
  • Discomfort.
  • Increased oiliness while the skin still feels dehydrated.
10. How do I choose a product based on my skin concern, not just my skin type?+

Start with two questions:

What is my Skin Type?
Then:
What Concern am I trying to improve?

Two people can both have Oily Skin but need completely different routines if one is dealing with Acne and the other with Pigmentation.

That is why EVE HUB includes Shop by Concern.

11. What is the difference between Skin Type and Skin Concern?+

Skin Type describes the skin's basic nature: Oily, Dry, Combination or Normal.

Skin Concern describes a problem or goal, such as:

  • Acne.
  • Acne Marks.
  • Pigmentation.
  • Pores & Blackheads.
  • Dryness & Barrier Repair.
  • Glow & Texture.

The best product choice considers both.

12. Why can a product work beautifully for my friend but not for me?+

Because skin response varies according to:

  • Skin Type.
  • Concern.
  • Sensitivity.
  • Skin Barrier condition.
  • The rest of the routine.
  • How the product is used.
  • How consistently it is used.
  • Sun exposure.
  • Internal or hormonal factors in some conditions.

A trending product is not automatically the right product for your skin.

13. How do I choose between two products that seem to do the same thing?+

Compare:

  • Formula.
  • Texture.
  • Active concentration.
  • Your Skin Type.
  • Your Concern.
  • Skin tolerance.
  • The rest of your routine.
  • Product size.
  • Price and value.

The strongest formula is not always the smartest choice.

14. Is the more expensive product always better?+

No.

Price may reflect branding, import costs, packaging, formulation complexity or texture, but it does not automatically mean a better result for your skin.

The best product is one that does the job you need and that you can use consistently.

15. I am a beginner and feel overwhelmed. How does Start Your Routine help?+

Start Your Routine is designed specifically to reduce choice overload.

Instead of asking you to choose between dozens of products at every step, we divide the routine into clear stages and select three products per step at different price levels.

You can then choose according to:

  • Your needs.
  • Skin Type.
  • Budget.

You can also skip any step you do not need.

The goal is not to sell you more products. It is to make routine building easier and more logical.

16. What is the correct order for a morning and evening skincare routine?+

Morning:

  1. Cleanser.
  2. Toner / Essence if needed.
  3. Serum / Treatment.
  4. Eye Care if needed.
  5. Moisturizer.
  6. Sunscreen.

Evening:

  1. Makeup / Sunscreen Removal if needed.
  2. Cleanser.
  3. Toner / Essence.
  4. Serum / Treatment.
  5. Eye Care.
  6. Moisturizer.

Some Actives and Masks have specific instructions.

17. Do I need every skincare step?+

No.

For many people, the foundation is:

Cleanser + Moisturizer + Sunscreen

Then add a Treatment based on your Concern.

Toner, Essence, Ampoule, Masks and other steps are optional depending on your needs.

18. Do all products in my routine need to be from the same brand?+

No.

Products from different brands can work very well together as long as:

  • They suit your skin.
  • Your Actives are compatible.
  • You are not unnecessarily repeating strong Actives.
  • The routine order makes sense.
19. Can I use more than one Serum or Active in the same routine?+

Yes, but more is not always better.

Multiple Serums can work when their functions complement each other, but layering many powerful Actives together can increase irritation.

20. Which skincare ingredients can be used together, and which combinations require caution?+

The most important rule is that compatibility is not simply “yes” or “no.”

Two ingredients may be chemically compatible but still irritate the skin when used together at strong concentrations.

Commonly compatible combinations

  • Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid
  • Niacinamide + Vitamin C
  • Niacinamide + Retinol
  • Niacinamide + Retinal
  • Niacinamide + Salicylic Acid
  • Niacinamide + Glycolic Acid
  • Niacinamide + Lactic Acid
  • Niacinamide + Azelaic Acid
  • Niacinamide + Alpha Arbutin
  • Niacinamide + Tranexamic Acid
  • Niacinamide + Ceramides
  • Niacinamide + Centella
  • Niacinamide + Panthenol
  • Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin C
  • Hyaluronic Acid + Retinol
  • Hyaluronic Acid + Retinal
  • Hyaluronic Acid + AHA/BHA
  • Hyaluronic Acid + Azelaic Acid
  • Ceramides + Retinoids
  • Ceramides + Acids
  • Panthenol + most Actives
  • Centella + Retinoids
  • Centella + Acids
  • Heartleaf + many Actives
  • Azelaic Acid + Niacinamide
  • Azelaic Acid + Alpha Arbutin
  • Azelaic Acid + Tranexamic Acid
  • Alpha Arbutin + Niacinamide
  • Alpha Arbutin + Vitamin C
  • Alpha Arbutin + Tranexamic Acid
  • Tranexamic Acid + Niacinamide
  • Tranexamic Acid + Vitamin C

Can be part of the same routine plan, but use carefully

  • Retinol + Vitamin C
  • Retinol + Salicylic Acid
  • Retinol + Glycolic Acid
  • Retinol + Lactic Acid
  • Retinol + AHA/BHA
  • Retinol + Azelaic Acid
  • Retinal + Acids
  • Vitamin C + AHA/BHA
  • Vitamin C + Azelaic Acid
  • Azelaic Acid + AHA/BHA
  • Salicylic Acid + Glycolic Acid
  • Salicylic Acid + Lactic Acid
  • AHA + BHA
  • Benzoyl Peroxide + Salicylic Acid

Beginners and Sensitive Skin users may find it easier to separate stronger Actives between different days.

Avoid random aggressive layering

  • Retinol + Retinal + another Retinoid together.
  • Multiple strong Acids layered in the same session.
  • Strong Peels combined with Retinoids without a clear plan.
  • Benzoyl Peroxide + Pure Vitamin C in the same application.

If your routine constantly burns, stings or causes excessive peeling, adding a stronger Active is probably not the answer.

21. How should I introduce a new Active?+

Introduce one new product at a time.

Start slowly with ingredients such as:

  • Retinol.
  • Retinal.
  • AHA.
  • BHA.
  • Strong Acne Treatments.

Increase frequency gradually based on your skin's tolerance.

22. What is a Patch Test?+

A Patch Test means trying a small amount of a new product on a limited area before wider use.

Watch for:

  • Redness.
  • Itching.
  • Swelling.
  • Rash.
  • Strong Burning.

It can reduce risk but cannot guarantee that a reaction will never happen.

23. How long do skincare products take to show results?+

There is no single timeline for every product.

Hydration: may feel better from the first use.

Barrier Support: days to several weeks.

Oil Control / Niacinamide: usually several weeks.

Blackheads / Congestion: requires consistent use over several weeks.

Acne: should not be judged after one week; meaningful improvement usually requires several weeks and may continue over months.

Acne Marks: generally improve more slowly than active Acne.

Pigmentation: often needs 8–12 weeks or longer depending on the condition.

Vitamin C: Glow may appear before visible Pigmentation improvement.

Retinol / Retinal: usually require several weeks to months.

Texture: improves gradually over time.

Hair Mask / Leave-in: cosmetic benefits such as softness and reduced Frizz may be immediate.

Hair Fall: must first be assessed according to its cause.

Using more product does not necessarily produce faster results.

Consistency matters more than aggression.

24. How do I know whether a product is working?+

Track the goal you purchased it for.

For example:

  • Fewer new breakouts.
  • Less dryness.
  • Improved skin texture.
  • Reduced roughness.
  • Gradual improvement in Pigmentation.
  • Better overall comfort.

Progress photos taken in similar lighting can be very useful.

25. What is the difference between Purging, Breakout and Irritation?+

Purging: can occur with certain ingredients that increase Cell Turnover and often appears in areas where you normally break out.

Breakout: new Acne that may be related to a product or routine that does not suit your skin.

Irritation: more commonly involves:

  • Burning.
  • Redness.
  • Tightness.
  • Excessive Peeling.
  • Itching.

Not every new breakout after starting a product is Purging.

26. What should I buy first if I have a limited budget?+

Start with the essentials:

  1. Cleanser.
  2. Moisturizer.
  3. Sunscreen.

Then add one Treatment based on your Concern.

This is one of the reasons we created Start Your Routine.

27. Does Oily Skin need Moisturizer?+

Yes.

Oil and water are not the same thing.

Choose a lightweight Moisturizer suitable for Oily Skin instead of skipping hydration entirely.

28. I have both Acne and Acne Marks. Where should I start?+

Start by controlling active Acne and protecting the Skin Barrier, while using Sunscreen to help prevent marks from becoming darker.

EVE HUB has a dedicated Acne & Acne Marks Concern page that breaks the routine down step by step.

29. I have multiple Skin Concerns. Should I treat everything at once?+

Not necessarily.

If your Skin Barrier is damaged, address that first.

If active Acne is the main issue, controlling it may be more important than adding several Brightening Actives immediately.

A good routine does not require one separate Active for every Concern.

30. How should I approach Pigmentation?+

Sun protection is essential.

Depending on your skin and the type of Pigmentation, ingredients may include:

  • Vitamin C.
  • Niacinamide.
  • Azelaic Acid.
  • Alpha Arbutin.
  • Tranexamic Acid.
  • Retinoids.

Persistent or unclear Pigmentation should be assessed by a Dermatologist.

31. What is the difference between Blackheads and Sebaceous Filaments?+

Blackheads are clogged pores.

Sebaceous Filaments are a normal part of the pore structure and are especially visible on areas such as the nose.

Their appearance can be reduced, but the goal is not to make every pore disappear.

32. How do I know if my Skin Barrier is damaged?+

Possible signs include:

  • Redness.
  • Tightness.
  • Burning.
  • Flaking.
  • Increased sensitivity.
  • Products suddenly stinging when they did not before.

In this situation, simplifying the routine is often more helpful than adding another Active.

33. What is the difference between the Sensitive Tag and Sensitive Safe at EVE HUB?+

Sensitive Tag means a product may also be suitable for Sensitive Skin.

Because Sensitive is not a separate Skin Type, a product might be:

Oily + Sensitive
or
Dry + Sensitive.

Sensitive Safe is a more conservative collection designed for very sensitive skin.

We selected around 50 products with enough variety to build a complete routine rather than offering only a few isolated Sensitive products.

Sensitive Safe does not mean a reaction is impossible. Individual tolerance varies and Patch Testing is still recommended.

34. How do I choose the right Sunscreen?+

Look for:

  • Broad Spectrum Protection.
  • An appropriate SPF, generally SPF 30 or higher for daily use.
  • A texture suitable for your Skin Type.
  • A formula your skin tolerates comfortably.

Sunscreen is the final essential step of your morning skincare routine before Makeup.

35. Why is K-Beauty so popular, and is it worth trying?+

Yes, K-Beauty can absolutely be worth trying when you choose products suited to your skin.

Major strengths include:

  • A huge variety of textures.
  • Lightweight Formulas.
  • Strong focus on Hydration.
  • Barrier Support.
  • Soothing Products.
  • Comfortable Sunscreens.
  • Innovative Serums and Ampoules.
  • Popular ingredients including Centella, Heartleaf, Rice, Snail Mucin, Peptides and Ceramides.

You do not need to buy an entire Korean routine from one brand.

You can start with one Korean product and build gradually.

36. How can I start Korean Skincare without doing a 10-step routine?+

You do not need ten steps.

Start with:

Morning:
Cleanser → Serum/Treatment → Moisturizer → Sunscreen.

Evening:
Cleanser → Serum/Ampoule → Moisturizer.

Then add Toner, Essence or Masks only if they serve a real purpose.

Modern K-Beauty is not about using the highest number of layers. Its real advantage is the variety of formulas and textures available.

37. What is the difference between Toner, Essence, Serum and Ampoule?+

Toner: a lightweight post-cleansing step that may be Hydrating, Soothing or Exfoliating.

Essence: generally lightweight and often focused on Hydration and skin support.

Serum: usually targets a more specific Concern.

Ampoule: often describes a more concentrated Treatment or focused formula, although naming varies between brands.

You do not need all four.

38. Are Korean Travel Sizes a good way to try products?+

Yes.

Travel Sizes allow you to:

  • Test texture.
  • Try a new brand.
  • Reduce the cost of testing a Full Size.
  • Build a Mini Routine.
  • Travel more easily.
  • Try several products on a smaller budget.

That makes the EVE HUB Travel Size Collection especially useful for anyone starting with K-Beauty.

39. How do I build a simple Bodycare Routine?+

Start with:

  1. Body Wash.
  2. Body Moisturizer.
  3. Deodorant.
  4. Weekly Exfoliation when needed.
  5. Hand & Foot Care if needed.

For specific concerns, use Shop by Concern rather than adding random products.

40. How should I approach dry, rough or Strawberry Skin?+

The foundation is:

Regular Moisturizing + Controlled Exfoliation.

Useful ingredients may include:

  • Urea.
  • Lactic Acid.
  • Glycolic Acid.
  • Salicylic Acid.
  • Ceramides.
  • Glycerin.

Avoid Strong Acids immediately after hair removal or on irritated skin.

41. What is the correct order for a Haircare Routine?+
  1. Shampoo.
  2. Conditioner.
  3. Hair Mask as needed.
  4. Leave-in.
  5. Hair Serum / Oil.
  6. Heat Protectant before heat styling when needed.

Not everyone needs every step.

42. Should I choose hair products based on my hair or my scalp?+

Both.

Shampoo should primarily match your scalp.

Products such as:

  • Conditioner.
  • Mask.
  • Leave-in.
  • Oil.

are generally chosen according to the needs of the hair lengths.

It is very common to have an Oily Scalp and Dry Ends at the same time.

43. What are the different types of dandruff, and how do I know what treatment I need?+

Not every flake is true dandruff.

Oily / Seborrheic Dandruff:
Often involves flakes, oiliness and itching.

Dry Scalp:
May look similar to dandruff but is related more to dryness and irritation.

Product Buildup:
Dry Shampoo, Oils and Styling Products can accumulate and create flakes.

Other conditions including Seborrheic Dermatitis, Eczema and Psoriasis can also cause scalp flaking and may require medical assessment.

Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is generally used on the scalp itself, not only on the hair lengths.

Persistent or severe dandruff, inflammation or associated hair loss should be evaluated by a Dermatologist.

44. What causes Hair Fall, and are hair products enough?+

Not always.

Hair Fall may be related to:

  • Iron / Ferritin deficiency.
  • Thyroid problems.
  • Nutritional deficiencies.
  • Low Protein intake.
  • Stress.
  • Rapid weight loss.
  • Postpartum changes.
  • Hormonal changes.
  • Certain medications.
  • Scalp conditions.
  • Genetic hair loss.
  • Tight hairstyles or mechanical pulling.

Hair Tonic and Anti-Hair Fall Products may support a routine, but they cannot correct an internal cause on their own.

A doctor may recommend Blood Tests depending on your symptoms and history.

45. How do I place and track an EVE HUB order?+

51. What is EVE HUB's return and exchange policy? Can opened products be returned?+

Because Beauty & Personal Care products require strict hygiene and safety standards, a product eligible for return or exchange must remain in its original, unused and untested condition, with the original packaging and seals intact where applicable.

This may include:

  • Product not used.
  • Product content not tested.
  • Original packaging intact.
  • Factory Seal or Shrink Wrap intact where applicable.
  • Safety Stickers unopened.
  • All accessories present.
  • Barcode and Batch identification clear and intact.

Opened or used Beauty & Personal Care products are not eligible for a standard return, due to hygiene and product-safety requirements.

Return or exchange requests must be submitted through Customer Support and are reviewed according to the condition of the product and the applicable EVE HUB policy.

52. What should I do if my order arrives damaged, leaking, incorrect or incomplete?+

Please inspect the outer shipping package and the visible condition of the order when it arrives.

  • A Missing Item.
  • A Wrong Item.
  • Breakage.
  • Leakage.
  • Visible Damage.

contact EVE HUB immediately and provide:

  • Order Number.
  • Clear photos of the shipment.
  • Photos of the outer packaging.
  • Photos of the affected product.
  • A video where possible.

Please keep the shipping box and all packaging until the case has been reviewed.

If the issue is confirmed to be related to order preparation or shipping, EVE HUB will review the case and take the appropriate action under the applicable policy.

53. Who is behind EVE HUB, and what is the idea behind the platform?+

EVE HUB is built by a medical team specialized in skin and hair care, but from the beginning, our goal was not to create a traditional cosmetics store that simply lists products and prices.

Our vision is to help develop the beauty retail experience in Egypt from simple commercial selling into a more specialized and informed shopping experience that helps you understand your needs first, then choose products more intelligently.

That is why EVE HUB is built differently across several areas:

  • Products are classified by Skin Type and Concern.
  • We explain where each product fits within a Routine.
  • Products are selected based on the role they can actually play rather than simply because they are available or trending.
  • Start Your Routine helps reduce choice overload by offering a limited number of selected products at different price levels for each step.
  • Shop by Concern allows you to start from your actual problem rather than from a brand name.
  • Product Suitability is reviewed, including identifying products that may suit Sensitive Skin.
  • Sensitive Safe offers a more conservative selection for very sensitive skin.
  • Ingredients, usage and realistic expected results are explained more clearly.
  • Local, Imported and K-Beauty products are brought together so the choice can be based on what suits you best, not simply on country of origin.

Our goal is to make buying beauty and care products feel more like a guided and informed care experience, not just shopping.

Simply put:

We do not only want to tell you which product to buy. We want you to understand why you may need it and whether it is actually suitable for you.

54. Where can I buy authentic skincare products in Egypt, and how do I choose a trustworthy beauty store?+

When buying Skincare, Haircare or Cosmetics in Egypt, price should not be your only deciding factor.

A trustworthy store should be able to clearly explain, where applicable:

  • Where its products come from.
  • Whether it works with authorized suppliers or distributors.
  • Whether it imports directly or works with brand owners.
  • Whether products are inspected before sale.
  • Whether clear product information is available.
  • Whether there is real Customer Support if something goes wrong.
  • Whether Shipping and Return policies are clearly explained.
  • Whether you can understand who the product is suitable for instead of relying only on an image or advertisement.

At EVE HUB, products are sourced depending on the brand and product through authorized suppliers and distributors, direct import, or directly from brand owners and their official channels.

Every product entering EVE HUB is inspected, and if anything raises a genuine concern about its authenticity, condition or conformity, the product is rejected and is not offered for sale.

But for us, a trustworthy beauty store should do more than sell you an authentic product.

It should also help you choose the right authentic product for you.

That is why EVE HUB is built around Skin Type, Concern, Routine and Suitability rather than functioning as a simple product catalog.

55. Where can I buy authentic Korean Skincare in Egypt, and how do I choose the right K-Beauty products for my skin?+

When buying Korean Skincare in Egypt, authenticity is extremely important, but authenticity alone is not enough.

Choose a store with reliable sourcing and real understanding of products, Ingredients and Skin Types rather than one that depends only on viral or trending products.

At EVE HUB, we offer a wide selection of authentic K-Beauty from well-known brands, sourced depending on the product through authorized suppliers and distributors, direct import, or official brand channels.

Every product entering EVE HUB is inspected before it is offered for sale.

But the most important part for us is helping you choose the right Korean product.

Instead of choosing something only because it is trending on TikTok, you can shop according to:

  • Skin Type.
  • Skin Concern.
  • Sensitive Suitability.
  • Routine Step.
  • Budget.
  • Ingredients.
  • The product's role within your Routine.

If this is your first experience with K-Beauty, you do not need to start with ten products.

You can begin with one or two products that genuinely suit your needs, or try Korean Travel Sizes before committing to the Full Size, then build your Routine gradually.

K-Beauty has many excellent options, but the best Korean product is not necessarily the most popular one — it is the one that suits your skin best.
